Description of the flag

On Famiglia Cristiana #17/1995 there was a picture showing a Kurdish demonstration in Germany. Apart from the ERNK flag there is another flag:
Two equal horizontal stripes, the top is yellow and the bottom is green. A red 5-pointed star astride the two bends, shifted towards the hoist. Around under the star, three red letters H-R-K.
Giuseppe Bottasini, 9 August 1995

HRK is Hazen Rizgariya Kurdistan, the Liberation Units of Kurdistan, controlled by the Military Committee of the PKK.
In 1986 the HRK was dissolved and replaced by the ARGK, and the letters HRK were subsequently omitted from the flag.
Of course, some flags with the HRK are still carried. The letters H-R-K had appeared in the green part of the flag in the gaps between the star points. This triangular flag is often carried vertically and many people are not sure which is the top and they carry it upside down
T. F. Mills, 27 September 1997
